When John & Manuel Vieira teamed up in 1992, they had a vision for their new business venture. The owners of Osoyoos Aggregates wanted to work hard, be successful, expand slowly and develop a strong customer base built on a solid reputation. It appears they are on track, having recently purchased Osoyoos Ready-Mix. In addition to their operation in the Osoyoos Industrial Park, John & Manuel also own two gravel pits totaling 172 acres. Providing an abundant source of very clean sand and gravel for decades to come. They have come a long way from one small backhoe and dump truck.

John & Manuel are also very community minded, buying as much of their supplies locally as possible. As well as donating time and equipment to various community projects like the Pioneer Walkway and sponsoring local sports teams.

The purchase of Osoyoos Ready-Mix complements our business for our gravel pits, and goes hand in hand with our existing excavating, fill and contracting operations at Osoyoos Aggregates.

John, Manuel and now Josh (Johns son), want to operate the Osoyoos Ready-Mix plant in the same personal and friendly manner that they built Osoyoos Aggregates solid reputation on. This really is a family operation as Dale & Rick Holz have remained with Osoyoos Ready-Mix. The brothers have concrete in their blood as they grew up in the business and are very experienced operators. While Osoyoos Ready-Mix has been around since the mid 1960s, John & Manuel are only the third owners. We will continue with our commitment to provide excellent product and service, and expand into the precast and decorative concrete products. Future plans include moving the Ready-Mix plant to the Industrial Park and modernize the plant at the same time.

Besides the excavating, sand & gravel supply, and now concrete with pumper truck, Osoyoos Aggregates also does site preparation, water & sewer connections, septic systems, commercial irrigation systems and landscaping services for your house or your subdivision.

If it goes in the ground, chances are we have the equipment & experience to do it.
